Chocolate Delight

What you need:

Use all ingredients for the recipe ‘Good For You Banana Smoothie’

Unsweetened Cocoa Powder

Vanilla Extract

How to prepare:

Place all ingredients in blender and blend until smooth.  Enjoy!

Makes about 2 glasses

Good For You Banana Smoothie

What you need:

1 ripe Banana

1 1/2 cups of whole Milk

8-12 Ice Cubes

How to make:

Place all ingredients in blender and blend until smooth.  Enjoy!

Makes about 2 glasses

Citrus Muffins

What you need:

3 cups of flour (I use either spelt or soft white wheat)

1 tsp Baking Powder

1tsp Baking Soda

1 tsp Sea Salt

1 Egg, beaten

1 cup Whole Milk or Buttermilk

1/2 cup Oil or Melted Butter

1 cup Honey

1/8 cup Fresh Squeezed Orange Juice (it really is better if you juice it yourself)

1/8 cup Lemon Juice

1/2 tablespoon Lemon Zest

1/2 tablespoon Orange Zest

How to Prepare:

Mix dry ingredients.  Make a “well” in the middle.  Mix wet ingredients in a separate bowl.  Pour the wet ingredients into the “well” in the dry ingredients and stir well.  Put batter in muffin pans and cook at 4oo degrees for 15 minutes.  Enjoy!

Makes a little over a dozen (usually)

Papa’s Incredible Burger-Sandwich

What you need:

Meat:

1 pound Ground Beef

Seasoning:

Salt

Pepper

Cumin

Paprika

Smoked Paprika

Stir Fry:

3 strips of Green Bell Pepper

3 strips of Yellow Bell Pepper

2 slices of Vidalia Onion, broken into rings

Other:

Bread

Ketchup

Mustard

Mayonnaise

How to Prepare:

Make the ground beef into small patties (approximately 2 inch diameter).  Place a patty on a cutting board.  Take a small plate or a small cutting board and use it to flatten the patty.  Repeat on the other side until it is approximately a 1/4 inch thick   If the meat sticks to the plate, you can sprinkle salt on the plate each time you flatten a patty, and this will help it not to stick.  Place the flattened patties in a dish, and sprinkle all of them lightly with the Seasoning (above).  Cook the patties on a grill.  While the patties are grilling, place the Stir Fry vegetables in a pan, and cook in oil or butter until they are light to dark brown around the edges.  For each Sandwich, toast two pieces of bread, then put the condiments on the slices of toasted bread.  Place the grilled patty onto the sandwich, then place the stir fried veggies on top of that.  Enjoy!

Makes about 4 sandwiches
